FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Does a wrap cause damage?

Vehicle wraps should not cause damage, a correctly applied wrap should have minimal to zero usage of knifes when installed. Vinyl wrap is designed to be able to be removed but the very small chance of damaged that can occur when a wrap is removed generally happens because there is an underlaying issue with paint work. Smart repairs, blowin's and resprays can be lifted when the vinyl is taken off this would be a result in that the paint repairs have not got a strong bond to the surface of the vehicle.

Do i need to tell DVLA and/or my insurance i've got a wrap?

We recommend that you should notify your insurance company, as well as the DVLA, that your car has changed colour. However this is usually a very quick process that involves the completion of a V5C form. - You will be required to select the most appropriate colour from the list.

Does the vehicle need prepping before a wrap?

We ask for all customers to have the car as clean as possible so that we can make our pre walk around checks. All vehicles go under for a detailed thorough decontamination process but if a vehicle is excessively dirty extra costs can be charged for the additional work that will be needed.

How long does a vinyl wrap last?

A wrap If looked after carefully and applied correctly can last around 5 - 7 years depending on the brand thats on the vehicle. Please see our after care write up on how to care and get the best from your wrap!

Can i polish or wax my wrap?

We advise not to polish your gloss wrap and defiantly not a matte or satin wrap as this would distort the finish. Wraps have been polished but we would only recommend using a professional detailer that has had experience in this area.
